Our friendly and welcoming club offers something for everyone, whether you’re picking up a racket for the first time or you’re an experienced player looking for competitive matches.
Membership benefits include a wide variety of organised tennis sessions, free court booking, use of floodlights, discounted coaching, two free social tennis sessions per week, and a range of social events throughout the year.
Coaching
Head Coach Matthew Watson, an LTA Level 3 coach and recent winner of the LTA Regional Coach of the Year, leads a full coaching programme for both children and adults. We offer group sessions for all levels, private lessons, and junior holiday camps, ensuring everyone has the chance to improve their game in a supportive environment.

We run a variety of organised tennis sessions, including:
Club Night
Every Tuesday at 7pm, a great way to meet members and enjoy social tennis.
Social Sunday Tennis
Every Sunday at 10am, open to all abilities.
Specialist Sessions
From Cardio Tennis to Beginners & Improvers Groups, there’s something for everyone.
Competitive Tennis
We have men’s, ladies’, and mixed teams playing in local leagues and internal tournaments.

It was this that helped us win the LTA Club of the Year 2023 award. That means that out of all 2,354 tennis clubs in the UK, our club in the small Suffolk village of East Bergholt was recognised as the best!
Our extensive social tennis program offers coaching for all ages and levels, fostering a close-knit, family-like atmosphere. All led by our award-winning coach Matthew Watson.
