Our Summer League campaigns are well underway, with most teams past the halfway point the season. So far, all teams have enjoyed multiple wins, and some are on track for promotion to the next division. Our men’s have only lost one match so far, and are looking good to be challenging for the title. Our ladies too have enjoyed a successful season with lots of players contributing to strong results. Our Mixed 1s have had a mixed set of results in a strong division, but are hopeful of finishing the season strongly. Finally, our newly formed Mixed 2s have managed to get some wins on the board, as well as multiple close defeats, but it has been excellent seeing players get their first taste of competitive league matches.
We have also been taking part in the Colchester and District Friendly League, in Men’s, Women’s and Mixed. Again, this has been fantastic to give players their first match experience in a (slightly) less competitive environment, against players from other clubs in a similar position.
